Taking off for Germany

Guten Tag!

Just wanted to clue you all in my plans for Germany and when I will be leaving. It took me some time to solidify, but it is a big move for hopefully a few months. I will be working right outside of Munich, in Lake Constance, about 2 hours South. Since the town is bordering Switzerland and Austria this will be very easy for me to get around and visit more places by train. The family I will be working for has two boys Jason 4, and Johnny who just turned 2. They have a private room for me with internet connection so I can be in contact easily. The weather is supposed to be perfect in April and May when the trees start blooming again. They say it gets a bit humid, good thing we are right on the lake!! The kids will go to school at 8a and I pick them back up at 2p. During the down time I will be taking German classes to help me learn the language faster. The parents wanted to hire a native speaking English girl to help there maintain learning English. They have been so flexible with my requests for time off for the wedding and when Alan arrives that I know we are going to get along very well.

I will leaving Phoenix for Chicago on the 5th of April and then leave from Chicago on April 13th. When I arrive in Munich I will spend the week with my friends there (Thomas and Cordula) and then head down to Lake Constance on the 19th to meet up with the family. I have agreed to work end of April, May, and June. Alan will be heading out to Munich for Thomas and Cordula's wedding around the beginning of July. The wedding is July 10th, down in Fussen (this is where the Schloss Neuschwanstein Castle is located) and the family has allowed me to have the majority of July off to travel.

I am so excited that I will be there next month and going to start this new adventure. Anyone who plans on going to Europe must make time to see me :) I should be there until the beginning of August.

Tschuss,

Lisa
